WWE Files For WCW-Related Trademark - WrestleTalk
WWE has filed a new application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) for a new trademark related to WCW.
The application, filed on Tuesday (June 4), was to trademark the term “WCW”. This particular filing was made to cover use related to a number of types of merchandise.

WCW was notably a big rival to WWE in the late nineties, with WCW Nitro and WWE Raw going head to head in the “Monday Night Wars”.
WWE purchased WCW’s assets in 2001, leading to the end of the promotion.
WWE has utilised numerous WCW properties, with the likes of Halloween Havoc used as names for NXT specials.
